COVI-19 3D Printed PPE

3D Printed Face Shields

I am currently 3D printing face shields on my Prusa 3D printers for use by providers and responders. I'm giving these out for free to individual or in bulk as needed(Can bring a second printer online). The design is from Prusa's Face Shield that they developed in house. I like the design as it's rugged and an be used. Sourcing the shield plastic was challenging. Most use .02in clear PETG, which is not to be found at the moment. I found a child safety plastic PETG that works really well.. It's a little thicker, but very nice. It's a fraction of the price as its not labeled PETG. That takes the cost of each shield to about 3-4 USD. Things are going well and I'll keep printing as people ask for them.

Streaming Printer WebCam

Streaming MK2/3 on YoutTube

I'm working on setting up a plug-in to run on OctoPi 3D print server software, running on a Raspberry Pi4. This setup lets me control a Prusa MK2s and MK3S printer remotely by webpage or iPhone app. One of the plugins lets you stream to a YouTube channel. I'll post progress. I'll likely stream printing of PPE face shields
